In order to take strategic decisions on company’s development and to expand the base of partners and clients, logisticscompany specializing on food& beverage transportation hired me for conducting Market Research on Food Industry and major retailers of FMCG in target regions of Russia. The report includes tendencies, prospective, statistics, detailed database on the major players on the market, recommendations. The board of the directors were fully satisfied with the provided report and now are working with the created base and refer to the given recommendations and findings while taking strategic decisions related to business development.

I dealt with the whole supply chain of the metal trading company. The main responsibilities included purchasing of the specialized equipment,export of steel and steel products (including document handling), CRM and SRM, material management, marketing and planning. With the aid of the efficient strategy, excellent supplier and customer relation management (B2B) and multitasking skills I managed to enter new markets in Asia (Pakistan, UAE and India) what increased total sales by 55%; optimized company’s expenses on purchasing and efficiently managed the numerous risks related to extremely changing challenging business, economic and legal environment.

Working in this third party logistics company the key purpose was to enter new markets that had been successfully reached. Knowing the market I helped the company to start their business with Russian partners and find new clients. My responsibilities included identification of the target market and perspective directions of development in Russia and the Baltic States; promotion of the company on the market; search and involvement of international partners for business development; interaction with customers and partners; processing of business enquires; cargo tracking from origin to destination and planning.

While working in the hotel mainly I was processing and analyzing the reservations; was responsible for guest relations (communication, check in/ check out, assistance with all possible enquires of the guests); made quality control of the provided services; successfully found solutions for conflict and non-standard situations; coordinated the hotel staff; partly was responsible for marketing. Providing the quality services I managed to enhance hotel’s reputation that lead to increase of the average score on booking sites by 10-15%.

The key activities of the project were: development of environmental management tool for Finnish SMEs operating in the ports; testing of the tool; recommendations SMEs operating in the ports based on the results; exchange of international practices and experiences during workshops abroad; improvement and finalizing the tool based on recommendations by specialists and project coordinators,company with the best practices visits,discussions and lectures on the topics related to sustainability and European Affairs, logistics activities and SMEs. As an outcomePreliminary Environmental Research Tool for Finnish SMEs operating in the ports had been created.
